Susan Massey, PhD

Dr. Susan Christine Massey is a scientist and applied mathematician with more than 10 years of experience leveraging advanced mathematical techniques to gain new understanding in cancer biology. Through the Expansive.AI Platform, she translates across these domains to power the discovery of new cancer therapeutic targets. In her previous 5 years at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ, she collaborated with neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists and cancer biologists, as well as other mathematicians, bioinformaticians and bioengineers across multiple institutions in glioblastoma research.

Dr. Massey earned her PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington, where her research focused on tumor-stromal interactions in cancer, culminating in her dissertation: Multi-scale modeling of paracrine PDGF-driven glioma growth and invasion.
